How I Can Help
Why Counselling?
I offer you a place to be yourself and the space to say what you need to say. By exploring your difficulties I aim to help you develop a better understanding of yourself and others, and work towards positive change.
When we are struggling in life, we all deserve a place to talk with someone who we know will not judge or shame us.
“Thank you for listening, for giving me space to just talk and for accepting me as I am.”

My approach in therapy is friendly and down to earth, and I will come to our work with energy and sensitivity.
My first job is to provide a place where you feel safe enough to be vulnerable. I think that if you can start to open up about what is troubling you, that is a very good place to begin.

I don’t think there is such a thing as a perfect life, just the lives that we have and what we make of them.
I won’t tell you what to do, but I will listen.
As we talk things through it’s likely we’ll discover some questions.
Questions like these may form part of what we explore in therapy:
How did you get here? What might be the causes and context of what is troubling you?
Where would you like to go in your life, and what is stopping you from getting there?
How might you create the change you need and work towards getting the life that you want?

Together in counselling, we can explore your difficulties in a safe way and at your own pace. I can work in a flexible and collaborative way, tailoring evidence based therapy techniques to meet your specific needs.
Through my Exeter based counselling practice, I am committed to offering a thoughtful and professional experience of therapy to all.
